Bristol based four-piece Swelt release new track 'Salt', the final track completing their impressive debut Red Mountain EP. The band make gentle, meditative music that references genres like slowcore and alternative folk music; it has a spacious and considered quality, stretching over six minutes new song 'Salt' begins with intricately picked guitar and quietly thundering drums before building into a soft melodic folk track that builds and breathes without ever feeling rushed. The band describe the song in their own words, "Salt was written in late 2019 and explores themes of anxiety, loneliness and gaining a sense of belonging in the world. The song looks at our connection to nature, with overlapping themes to previous single ‘Red Mountain’." Accompanying the song is a video shot by Chris Hicks that features the band wandering and playing amongst the natural imagery that is referenced in the lyrics. -Toby Evans-Jesra
